I am super-duper excited to announce the opening of the Dyspraxia Kids digital shop. OK, so there’s only one thing in it right now but we have big plans 🙂
The idea is that it will contain lots of different digital items, at a low cost, that are created specifically for kids with dyspraxia–not the usual run-of-the-mill type stuff. Each one will be full of the usual positivity you have come to expect from Dyspraxia Kids and will build up the skills that dyspraxics need the most help with, all with a large amount of fun mixed in. Because if the products aren’t fun and engaging then your kids aren’t going to want to even look at them. There won’t be the usual handwriting worksheets that your child probably sees enough of at school (and which are limited in how much they actually help anyway), these items will be completely dyspraxia specific.
I obviously recognise that kids have limited concentration so everything is broken down to be accessible. Everything will be very visual, as that’s how dyspraxia kids learn best, but I do also create these downloads with your ink cartridge in mind too!
The first item to hit the virtual shelves is the Summer Fun Pack. (The frontpage is pictured here so is naturally more colourful but has been scaled down in tone, thinking of your printer ink again!)
With the emphasis on fun and summer there are 48 pages of content that will beat boredom and build up their skills without them even knowing it.
The kind of skills covered in this pack, for example, are:
- Fine motor skills (scissor skills, handwriting, drawing, colouring)
- Visual scanning
- Allowing them to unleash their creativity in lots of ways
- Basic numeracy (counting, no complicated maths)
The next big item I expect to add will be a Halloween Fun Pack, but there will be smaller and also more specific downloads available too. Such as those that will only focus on handwriting, or memory, or reading comprehension, or self-organisation, so you can choose which areas you really want to target. And of course if you have anything you’d really like to see covered then please do contact me and let me know.
Everything processed through the shop is secure–Dyspraxia Kids has been a secure site for a good while now (see the padlock at the front of the url), and all payments are processed securely through PayPal, which you can use even if you don’t have a PayPal account. If you have any other questions then take a look at our Shop FAQs page or drop me a message.
